The success of our center is greatly attributed to our dedicated volunteers. They support our Manager and are essential to our mission, showing invaluable commitment to our community efforts. Physio Assistant

Tuesdays or Thursdays
11am – 2pm
Do you have previous experience in physiotherapy, care or nursing?
Are you looking to gain further knowledge of physiotherapy?
Our dedicated team are looking for volunteer assistants to help them in our physio suite.
This is a physical role and will involve the use of mechanical hoist equipment.
Full training will be given, and you will be working with supervision.
A DBS check (which we will arrange) will be required for this position.
Befriender
Tuesdays or Thursdays
Mornings or afternoons
Do you enjoy talking to people on a one-to-one basis?
Do you enjoy crafts such as knitting or embroidery that you would like to share with others?
Our friendly team of volunteers and members are looking for individuals who could join us.
You will need to have the confidence to approach people and to take initiative, but don’t worry – there will be lots of support and training, as required.
Activities Lead
Tuesdays or Thursdays
10.30am – 12pm
Are you outgoing, chatty and happy to encourage others?
We are looking for individuals who could commit to one or two mornings a week.
You will be encouraging and assisting members to take part in group activities, increase social interaction, provide some physical activity and, most importantly, make everyone laugh!
You may be working with members with a range of physical limitations, and the activities will be tailored to reflect this.
Full support and appropriate training will be given.

Kitchen Team
Tuesdays
10am – 2pm
You will be working with one or two other members of our team in our open-plan kitchen.
We provide hot drinks, snacks and hot meals for our members throughout the day.
You will assist with serving meals, collecting cups and plates and using our dishwasher.
Full training will be provided, including your Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.
