Forty 4 Forty

In June 2025 we are celebrating the 40th anniversary of our Centre in Church Lane, West Parley.

From humble beginnings: In December 1964 a group of local people decided that Bournemouth should have a contact centre for people living with MS.
Our first building was an old hall near Pokesdown but after a few short years we managed to purchase a larger hall in Walpole Road, Boscombe, where we stayed through the 70s and early 80s.
We needed a bigger venue and decided to have a purpose-built centre. Many sites were looked at before Church Lane, West Parley was chosen.

In June 1985, the MS Centre was officially opened.
Our centre has been expanded; our services have been increased and strengthened as we continue to provide a wide range of activities and events to help our members.

Over the past 40 years we have supported hundreds of local people living with multiple sclerosis. We want to be there for them for the next 40 years!

Help us to meet our target
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of our official opening of our Centre in 1985, we are looking to raise £40,000 to enable us to continue to provide valuable services for people living with multiple sclerosis.
We would really appreciate your support in reaching our target. We have set up a JustGiving page where you can donate.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your donation will be sent directly to us. It is an efficient way to give. if you are a UK taxpayer, please consider adding giftaid to your donation. It doesn’t cost you anything, but increases the amount we will receive.
